The Claudia Ann Seaman Awards For Young Writers

Poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction submissions sent directly to Polyphony H.S. will automatically be entered in the Claudia Ann Seaman Awards for Young Writers. Similarly, submissions received through teenreads.com or through the Community Foundation of Dutchess Country will be considered for publication in Polyphony H.S. provided they arrive by the February 15 deadline. The deadline for the Claudia Ann Seaman Awards for Young Writers will remain June 1.

Open to:	All students in grades 9–12
Submission:	Each participant may submit a total of three poems, essays, or stories (2500 word limit for fiction and creative nonfiction)
Deadline:	Entries must be received by June 1, 2009 (Entries received by February 15, 2009 will be considered for publication in Polyphony H.S.
Cash Award:	$500 award for each genre Publication in Polyphony H.S.
Award Announcement:	September 20, 2009

Each entry must contain the following information:
–Student name, address, phone number, email address, year of HS graduation (Class of_______)
– School name, address, phone number;
–Name and email address of student's English or writing teacher
