Professional Development
Billy LombardoThanks to everyone who attended Billy Lombardo's workshop, "Using a student-written text (Polyphony H.S) in the Creative Writing Classroom," at the ISACS (Independent Schools Association of the Central States) annual conference on November 3-4 in Kentucky.

For a guide on how to use Polyphony H.S. in the creative writing classroom, contact Billy Lombardo at blombardo@latinschool.org.

In the Classroom

  • Subscribe to Polyphony H.S.

  • Consider using Polyphony H.S. as your classroom text next year. For a free copy of Polyphony H.S. send a check for $2.50, written out to The Latin School of Chicago to cover shipping and handling costs. We'll send Volume II along with the article "Using PHS in the Creative Writing Classroom" published in Independent Teacher.

  • Through our website (www.polyphonyhs.com) send us your comments, advice for writers, etc.

  • Send us your best lesson plan, and if it's one of our five best submissions, we'll add it to our website.

  • Email lesson plans to: polyphonyhs@latinschool.org

  • Encourage students interested in creative writing to play an integral role in the creation of Polyphony H.S., by submitting poetry and prose to us, and by applying to the National Editorial Staff.
