National Editor Training Workshops

We are currently accepting applications from students interested in serving as members of our National Editorial Board. Writers and Editors who are selected for this national leadership position will be expected to join us for one of our National Editor Training (NET) Workshop Weekends this summer. The NET Workshops will take place in Chicago during the weekends of August 6-9, and August 13-16, 2009.

Over three days, editorial candidates are coached through the editorial process by professional poets, writers, and editors. We hope that you will give this national leadership opportunity serious consideration. Beginning the next school year as a member of the editorial staff of this unique national literary magazine is a very real possibility.

The $550.00 workshop fee includes food, lodging, instruction, and transportation to and from the airport (Program details will be provided to applicants).

Our hope is that students will consider applying for the NET Workshops, without delay, by using the form below. Only 30 spaces are available for the summer NET Workshops and last year they filled up far faster than we had anticipated.

Please consider informing your English and Creative Writing teachers about this possibility. Many schools have been willing to help students offset the cost of NET Workshops.

Polyphony H.S. Writer’s Workshops

This year, in addition to our NET Workshops, we will also offer summer writer’s workshops. The Polyphony H.S. Writer’s Workshops will take place in Chicago during the weekends of July 23-26 and July 30-Aug 2, 2009. You may use the same form below to apply for the Writer’s Workshops.
